After upgrading to the newest Version of onOne’s Perfect Photo Suite I needed a more powerful PC to do my editing. So I build a new machine with the following components:

  • AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE Quadcore Prozessor
  • 16GB Ram Crucial Ballistix
  • 2 Samsung 840 EVO SSDs each 120GB (one for the OS, the other for my Lightroom catalog)
  • 1TB WD Black Harddrive for the .DNG-Files
  • 500GB WD Blue HDD for other data files

The Windows PC is still in use for some software, I bought for this Operating System, but concerning all photo management and editing I switched to an Apple iMac 27″ 5K

  • Apple iMac 27″ 5K mit Core i7 QC 4GHz; 512GB SSD; AMD Radeon R9 4GB; 8GB Ram
  • 2x Crucial 16GB Ram-Kit (Model: CT2C8G3S160BMCEU) [as replacement for the original built in 8GB]
  • Western Digital “MyBook Thunderbolt Duo” 8TB (in Raid-0 mode for more speed) as harddrive for my *.DNG-Files and Videos
  • Adobe Lightroom Classic CC 7.x
  • Adobe Photoshop CC 2018
  • Photomatix Pro 6.x
